How many minority presidents have there been in the US?
Not like, black presidents. Presidents who have been elected to office, despite not having a majority of votes, because of the electoral college. Yes, I am f*n serious. And panurge, what are you talking about? Are you saying the Bush election was the most fair election? Or the Obama one? Who are you presuming is my guy/gal? I'm definitely going to say that 2008 was one of the fairest elections ever. He won by a huge margin. There may have been corruption, but it didn't really change much. And what was that about the judges, courthouses, cushy govt jobs?

- This only happened four time GW Bush was the last one in 2000
- I believe 2? Ah, found it: "The elections of 1876, 1888 and 2000 produced an Electoral College winner who did not receive the plurality of the nationwide popular vote. In 1824, there were six states in which electors were legislatively appointed rather than being popularly elected, so the true national popular vote is uncertain. When no candidate received a majority of electoral votes in 1824, the election was decided by the House of Representatives and thus could be considered distinct from the latter three elections in which all of the states had popular selection of electors.[46] Opponents of the Electoral College claim that such outcomes do not logically follow the normative concept of how a democratic system should function."
- If I'm not mistaken it happened twice.
- 1. Obama (every other president has been caucasian).
- The real problem is that by Bush being 'selected" by the Supreme Court, before ALL the votes from black, and Dem. areas were allowed to finish being counted. Check out how many of those 'terrorists' that were forcing their way into the local courthouses, to bang on the windows. Some of them were quietly appointed as Fed judges ,or other cushy govt. jobs. That corruption of democracy, left no real extension of power from the incumbent president, to the next candidate. Sorry that your 'guy' and 'gal' lost, but it was the most fair election in YOUR or MY lifetime.
- are u f*n serious???
- probably none!!
