Why liberals do want communism when it doesnt work ideally, and can easily lead to dictatorships?

If they want freedom, they wouldn't want communism!! so stop supporting a theory that destroys freedom. even if it could work, at the theoretical level its still theft so why would anyone still want this???????? did the soviet union do go? is n. korea good? why is dictatorships so appealing?

1. You don't know what you are talking about. I am a liberal and I no more want communism then I want more war. If you must take issue with something that is true, then when you get down to the part about our elected officials getting a free ride, you may want to take that on, or demand we get equal treatment. ============= read on Socialism a theory or system of social organization in which the means of production and distribution of goods are owned and controlled collectively or by the government. There are no candidates that even come close to those two models. Currently, in the USA, we are a federal republic with democratic principles under a capitalistic economic system and socialism for needed services. Those needed services are things such as: Military Police Public Education State, federal and city infrastructures are a mixture of socialism and capitalism working together. Welfare etc. The only area where we are lacking socialism with needed services is our medical system for the average American. Yet the ones who pass the laws, our federally elected officials, enjoy a socialistic medical system. We have to put up with the BS from insurance companies. Most people have no idea what we are, what kind of government we really have, how that all breaks down in the most simple terms, which would make it blatantly easy to see the contradictions. I really wish the nay sayers about universal health care would, at the very least, demand that our elected representative stop giving themselves a free ride, or come to the realization that socialism for needed services can be a very good thing for the welfare of our country. Some say that the founding fathers didn't mean "promote the general welfare" meant welfare for the people. But back then, the local doctor and surgeon was usually the local barber. There is no way on earth they could envision the practice of medicine today that takes up billions of dollars. Welfare of the country is indeed part of the welfare for the people. Anything less is spitting on our Constitution. We keep forgetting, "We the People" is paramount to everything else. 5. In short -- because it looks good on paper. It is an extension of the firtst American Socialist progressive policies pursued by Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson. However, not ALL liberals want communism (only the EXTREME left wing), just like how not ALL conservatives support the dissolution of federal government in favor of state power.
6. I have your answer! I lived it for 35 years. This isn't about common sense or intelligence or information....Its about ideology. You can introduce a thousand pages on why Capitalism works, or that Democracy in a representative government is so much more preferable to socialism, or that our medical system in this country is the best in the world when operated by private companies, while the government screws up everything it touches... 7. My friend, I would strongly suggest first proof reading what you write and then going and doing some research. Liberalism has always been opposed to communism, even to the point of irrationality. Liberalism is based on conservative principles; people are convinced otherwise in order to maintain a small oligarchy in power. Furthermore, your knowledge of communism is sorely lacking. Your complaints against what you believe is communism is, in actuality, true of capitalism. How is it not theft for a boss to reap the benefit of an employee's labor? This happens in America everyday. If you are going to make accusations, first, you must know what you're talking about. You cannot compare Stalinist reformism to Communism because they are not the same thing. Stalin killed or exiled all the Russian communists, and while he was doing it, the conservatives around the world hailed Stalin as a hero. Today their is not a shred of Communism in China; China has become the perfect capitalist country. Why are dictatorships appealing? Perhaps you can answer that one, because you seem so intent on protecting dictatorships. All states are dictatorships, this includes capitalists states. Please, don't speak again unless you have something intelligent to say.

10. Communism instantly equals being liberal? I think you're wrong about that. Communism is, yes, an extremely liberal version of liberalism. But the Nazi party were so conservative, they wanted Germany to go back to the way is was during the Middle Ages. Just because the Nazi party preached an extreme version of conservatism, that instantly doesn't make being conservative bad. Ideally, democracy shouldn't work. It requires people to trust that those in power won't just erode their right for the will of the majority, or become a military dictatorship, and for everyone, man, woman and child to work towards keeping the country democratic. Indeed, in some places, like Zimbabwe or Burma, it didn''t work, that trust and power, the people in power have abused that power. Liberalism is good, in some ways. It makes sure that those who cannot provide for themselves- the mentally disabled, the sick, the elderly, the vulnerable people in a society- are protected. Just like capitalism, in some ways is bad. It creates a society that thinks that people can buy happiness, or put off being happy, so that they can provide for people. I don't disagree with you're comment about communism not working, and about it being theft. Historical evidence does point towards this being a valid point of view. However, there is a major difference between being liberal and being communist. Please realise that.

12. Liberals do not want Communism. When the Conservative economic policies failed in 1929 it was liberalism that saved this country from Communism. Prudent regulation and an economic safety net stands between conservative failures and a Communist Revolution.

14. Very good points. Communsits/socialists are fully brainwashed. They do not mean any harm usually they just don't have a grasp of the financial facts and true political dynamics. In America for example the FED cartel banks actually instituted socialism by created the 1929 stock market crash. Socialism is the most profitable business in the history of the world. Can you imagine being a multitrillionaire banker and the government goes out and forcibly removes massive portions of every single citizen's money for you? When you have a savings account the bank pays you interest for use of your money. These crooks who collect and hold our money are actually charging us interest lol. So they loaned us $11 trillion. How funny is that? Where did they get $11 trillion to lend us in the first place? There is only $11trillion in american money in circulation in the world. They lent us imaginary money in other words which they got from us obviously in the first place. This circle of money flow is so simple to see that it hides in the light. How can we owe all the money that exists? What a joke and the American people fall for it hook line and sinker. If all Americans knew the truth there would be a massive peaceful revolution. The police would simply go pick up the Rockefellers and Rothschilds then stick them in a prison. Then most revenues would stop flowing into the government and most of society would continue to function much as it already has. The economy would take off like a rocket with new successful businesses popping up everywhere. Property value would drop in poor neighborhoods as government subsidy stopped pouring in and poor families would actually be able to afford rent without welfare while putting money away for investment. 15. This is the times and place that Rome will fall again. It has already been predicted that America will fall. To start, this is how it will go: 1. 16. Often people confuse communism with Marxism. There is a difference. The major facets of extreme liberalism practiced here in the states are more closely related to Totalitarianism with tenants of Marxism used in concert. Jim, "We The People" was never intended to be defined as "Us, The Federal or State Government". There are many letters penned by our Founding Fathers attending this very issue. And, so what if our Founding Fathers couldn't envision everything under the sun 200 years down the road? Does that entitle us to redefine the Consitution to suit our means, just because you want universal health care? Wasn't there a provision built into the Constitution requiring Ammendments in order to change it? Instead the U.S. Supreme Court, in it's arrogance is legislating and redefining from the bench. Something our Founding Fathers warned against and clearly stated to defend against due it's path to tyranny. "Promote The General Welfare" (of the nation to assure it's survival), was about economic and physical security from oppressors, both foreign and domestic including the U.S. Federal Government -- not about who can limp into the barber shop to have the town "vet, doctor and dentist" take a look at their foot. Hence the allowance of states militias and our 2nd Ammendment. It had nothing to do with social welfare programs. FDR invented that crap with his "New Deal".
